Opening Micropia for all visitors

Micropia will open again for all visitors starting Monday June 1. Several security and sanitary measures have been taken to enable a safe and educational experience for all visitors.

Please note that you will need to reserve a start time first. If you do not, you will not be admitted to Micropia. You can make a reservation through your account. Click on the button below to go to Mijn ARTIS. Please come by bicycle, on foot or by car rather than by public transport.

mandatory reservation

Start times and entry tickets can only be booked online using a Mijn ARTIS account. This will prevent long queues at the box office and crowds at the main entrance. The health and safety of our visitors, staff and animals are paramount.

Every wednesday new starting times

Micropia evaluates the situation at the museum daily and wants to give everyone the opportunity to visit. On the base of this evaluation we release new start times every wednesday for start times a week in the future. Visit our website to stay updated about new start times.

Measures within Micropia

Besides the mandatory start times, more safety measures have been implimented. A separate entrance and exit is now availabe. The entrance at Micropia can be temporarily found at the streetside of the Plantage Kerklaan. The exit is at the ARTIS-square. At some places in Micropia it is quite difficult to keep your distance, therefore a fixed walking route is outlined. A few spots also have outlined areas so it's still possible to keep your distance. The installment 'Oplichters' is temporarily closed. The cleaners will carry out more daily cleaning rounds, we have installed extra hand-washing stations and disinfectant is available.
