Blue Star Room

Gather together beneath hundreds of blue stars on the first floor of the North Pavilion.

Enter the North Pavilion and walk up the historic staircase. Look through the windows and admire ARTIS Royal Zoo beneath. Throw open the doors to a large 19th-century reception room. This space has always been reserved for celebrations, receptions and meetings. It is the place where the Artis Royal Zoo Board received King William III.

The Blue Star Room is on the upper floor of the North Pavilion of de Ledenlokalen building, flanked by the main entrances of ARTIS Royal Zoo and Micropia. You stand between heaven and earth in this room. Stars sparkle on the walls and in the chandelier above, while the carpet beneath your feet depicts a world full of animals and plants.

It could be the venue for an unforgettable party, an inspiring meeting or an atmospheric wedding. The Blue Star Room can be used in combination with the rooms on the ground floor. We will also be happy to help you organise your celebration or meeting in the whole of the North Pavilion.
