Most colleges for the applied sciences in the Netherlands offer programmes in laboratory sciences. Not all of these offer biological and medical laboratory education (BML) with a focus on microbiology. These, however, do:

Alternative routes

Higher vocational education in laboratory sciences is the standard path to a career in microbiology – but not the only one. You might also get there through higher vocational education in chemistry or biotechnology, which several schools offer. These include:
