At the higher levels of vocational education in laboratory sciences, you are trained to perform research functions in laboratories. These programmes, and the labs in which you can work, can be found all over the country.

Where are the laboratory sciences programmes?

Most colleges for the applied sciences in the Netherlands offer programmes in laboratory sciences. Not all of these offer biological and medical laboratory education (BML) with a focus on microbiology. These, however, do:

Alternative routes
